I have been a mechanic of many stripes for over 15 years. I've stripped motorcycles down to the frame and restored them, F-16s down to the hulk of a fuselage and had them flying again, and rebuilt cars with every imaginable defect. I've done all sorts of work on my own bikes since I was ten years old.
Chris at Black Pug Bike Repair is the only person that I trust to work on my road, cyclocross, and mountain bikes more than myself. Need I say more?
Of course not, but I will anyway. Having been a professional mechanic for such a long time, I know what I'm looking at when I watch someone work. I know from the way Chris's hands and eyes move that he's an instinctual mechanic. Watch him rig a rear derailleur from scratch some time, and you'll know what I mean. He's quick without rushing, painstaking and thorough without dawdling, and inexpensive to boot.
If you have anything-- ANYTHING-- wrong with any of your bikes, don't mess around. Just take them to Black Pug, and get it done right the first time.
Chris really knows his stuff, and goes above & beyond- doing things not asked for. He fusses over my bike every time he touches it. He's absolutely THE BEST.
